The Winter Olympics are over, so why are we visiting Vancouver, Canada, for this week’s Craigslist rundown?
Answer: To see how the local populace is cashing in on the Olympics now the world’s focus is turning to London for 2012. Here are some gold-medal winning classified adverts from Vancouver’s Craigslist.
Olympic Coca-Cola (Coke) Glowing Plant Bottle RARE (1 of 50,000) – $55
Own a unique souvenir of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. This red Coke bottle lights up when you press a button on the bottom. Only 50,000 of these hand-numbered bottles were produced. To get one, I waited in line for several hours to enter the Coca-Cola pavilion in LiveCity Yaletown during the Olympics. This collector’s item isn’t available in stores.
Hand-numbered 14,400 of 50,000.
Dom Perignon **new $240** – $140 (Some things don’t work out …)
Dom Perignon - 2000 *10 year vintage in box*Great champagne. Was for Olympics, but they’re over. $240 new, $140 firm.
Full Bed frame – IKEA Heimdal – used only during Olympics (… and some things do work out)
I have a full / double bed frame for sale. For a description see the Ikea website: http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/S69849769 The frame has some minor scratches from set up but nothing major. Included is the midbeam and slats.
I am selling the mattress separately as well. Both bed and mattress were bought for Olympic visitors and are basically new. I can help arrange delivery if required.
I busted my knee! please buy my Sweden-Slovakia tickets? – $700 (TMI alert)
I took the biggest spill on my bike on Sunday (did you see me wipeout in front of Atlantic House? ass over handlebars? ripped my pants and everyone saw my pink underwear?) yeah so now I can’t sit with my left leg bent.
I’m selling my tickets for tonights game for below what I paid for them, I can meet you just about anywhere, I’m in Gastown all day today.

Has anyone explained to her that the value of bespoke tailoring is that it fits the person it was made for better than anyone else? Someone else’s bespoke outfit… well, it’s not the same, is it?
